Sweet and Savoury Tea Sandwiches
Yields 2 servings
Ingredients
4 slices of White sandwich bread:
28g (1 oz) Cream cheese, soften
1/2 Green onion, finely chopped
1~2 slices Square deli ham
Salt
15g (1 tbsp) Nutella spread
2-4 Fresh strawberries, wash and hulled
Butter
Method
Savoury
1. Mix soften cream cheese with green onion
2. Spread butter equally on two slices of bread
3. Layer ham onto both slice
4. Spread the blend on one ham
5. Sprinkle salt to taste and sandwich the other slice to make a sandwich
6. Using a sharp knife, trim of the crust
7. Cut it from corner to corner to make 4 bite size triangular sandwiches
Sweet
1. Spread nutella equally on two slices of bread
2. Slice fresh strawberries length-wise
3. Lay strawberries fully onto 1 slice and sandwich the other slice to make a sandwich
4. Using a sharp knife, trim of the crust
5. Cut in “T” direction to make 4 bite size square sandwiches
Tips
I. You can choose to toast the bread to make a crunchy toast sandwich
II. Make your sweet sandwiches just before you plan to serve as cut strawberries will release juice when in contact with sugar
