Star Wars Yoda Avocado Party Dip and Chips

The Force Awakens ...... blah blah blah ( a blog that is lost after hours of work)

Ok... there was a long and informative post on this topic which I accidentally deleted and could not retrieve it. It is late and I have no more energy to think back on what I have written.

So long story short... We will skip straight to the video of the day and redo the blog post next time on this series 2nd episode.

Yoda’s Creamy Avocado Dip with Chips
Yields 6 servings

Ingredients
3 Ripe avocados
1 Lime
1 Clove of garlic
1 Jalapeno/ Green chili
2 Green onions
140g (1/2 cup) Greek yogurt
2g (1 tsp) Dry paprika pepper
3g (1 tsp) Rose salt

Tortilla Chips
Nori seaweed
Greek yogurt

Method
1. Remove skin and chop garlic clove
2. Chop green onions
3. Remove seeds and rib of the jalapeno and chop
4. Zest half of the lime and juice the whole lime
5. Pit and scoop out the meat of the avocado into a food processor
6. Add garlic, green onion, jalapeno, lime zest, lime juice, greek yogurt, cayenne pepper and salt
7. Blend it into a creamy paste/ fine chunks
8. Pipe and spread the dip on serving platter following the template
1. Pipe extra greek yogurt to make eyes
2. Cut Nori seaweed, following the template and attach it to yogurt as pupils
3. Place chips on the serving platter right below the head to make Yoda’s clothes

Tips
I. Dip should be made with ripen avocado for best taste and texture
II. Avocado oxides easily but in this dish, it makes the colour just right for Yoda’s Skin
III. You can switch out the greek yogurt for a vegan/gluten-free alternative to make this dish vegan friendly
IV. We made our own oven baked tortilla chips from scratch. (Recipe coming soon)

List of Supplies:

Food Processor
Tortilla Chips
Off-set Spatula

Hope you guys enjoy this weeks [How To's]

See you next week :)
