Starbucks Copycat Recipe: Double Chocolate Chip Frappccino

Cool Summer chocolately heaven... We usually don't drive out for a Starbucks~ So when we have a craving, we often whip up something in our kitchen and we came up with this recipe :)

With a hand full of ingredients, you can easily recreate this within minutes :)

I promise you this drink will have a wonderful frappuccino texture that you are craving. The additional ice cream is for the flavour and blending it just the right timing will avoid a milkshake texture. You have to trust us on this. Try this out before you judge :)

(Tips on getting the right textures is by the tell of sound~ when you hear no more large ice chunks, most of the ice cream will be melted into a more fluid state and not compensate on the texture )

Straight to the 5 minute Recipe ~

Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino
Yields 1 tall glass

Ingredients
Drink:
120ml (½ cup) Milk
1 Small Scoop (1/8 cup) Vanilla Ice cream
2 heaping Scoop (1/2 cup) Chocolate Ice cream
1 cup Ice
45g (1/4 cup) Java Chips/ Mini Chocolate chips
30ml (2 tbsp.) Dark Chocolate syrup

Topping:
Whip Cream
Chocolate Syrup

Method
1. Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend it smooth
2. Fill the cup with the beverage and top it with whip cream

Tips
I. If you want a more stable drink you can add ¼ tsp. Xanthan gum to the mixture, but I personally don’t like additives

Variation: Java Chip Mocha Frappuccino

Method
1. Add 1 shot of espresso for a mild coffee taste, add 2 shots for a bitter-sweet flavour

Hope you guys enjoy this weeks [How To's]

See  you next week :)
